Is the government allowed to lie? Bin Laden? What about this lie that started the Vietnam War?

The government lies all the time. It's the government. It's corrupt. When you ask is the government allowed to lie, I think you should realize that the government is in charge, so therefore they would break their own rules if they want. There is nothing in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights or the Amendments that says that the government can't lie. It should though.
