MSI netbook recovery?

I have a MSI Wind U250 netbook and I'd like to restore it. When I first started it over a year ago it asked me to create a backup image (when i mount the image i see a single file called OSIMG2.SWM). I cant find in the manuals that came with it what i do with this file. Is this a copy of a clean windows install including the MSI programs? and how do I use this file?
