I have Windows 7 and I want to backup files but it's not working according to the Windows instructions.?

When I go to Backup and Restore in the Control Panel and click "set up backup" a long list of files comes up instead of what is described in the instructions on the Windows website. I'm not sure what to do when these files pop up. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!
