How fast DNA test in the field (US Navy) to get the result?

I watch the breaking new last night (May day 2011) that Osama Bin Ladin was killed and DNA confirm that the dead body really is him. I wonder how the US Navy do the test so fast and faster than the TV show (about who is the real father of a child). Is it possible that government lies to us again just like WMD in Iraq before we start the war over there.
