What gives credibility to the Conservative party?

They are finding that the tactics Rove taught them and codified in a 400+ page handbook for Republican candidates is starting to backfire big time. All their lies, smears, constant attacks and such is beginning to get on all real Americans nerves and the fact that their solutions to problems just keep making them worse and worse is definitely being noticed. Americans are beginning to wake up to the fact that the Republican party and to a much lesser extent the Democrat party have sold them out.
