Weapons of Mass Destruction?

WMD can benefit mankind. Almost everything has its origin in warfare, weapons, and secret projects. There were plans drawn for a spacecraft that would have been powered by WMD to reach the nearest star(of course it was never actually built, though that doesn't mean it couldn't have been) and that is just with nukes. nuclear power of cities and space colonies. also, let's not forget that WMD can be pretty handy in the event of a primitive alien invasion. :P
