My female cockatiel is now laying eggs?

my female cockatiel has been of age to lay eggs for YEARS, she even had a bf two years ago and they "had fun times" all the time but she never laid eggs even tho that boyfriend made her a nest and tried to get her in it all the time. she had been alone for 2 years and 3 weeks ago i got her a male, and they dont hate each other but they do ignore each other and dont like being close. but now my bird has been laying eggs! its strange to me as to why now, and also what do i give her besides her eggs to sit on so she wont lay more (i heard to do that somewhere). im 99% they are infertile eggs, ive never ever seen my two birds close enough to have fun times, and i candled the eggs. she just seems so happy sitting on em i know if i just take em away she will lay more! i dont want her to tire out!
